Why are obstruction penalties not called on the Duck defenseman when the Wing forwards dump the puck and then try to chase it and the duck players grab and skate in their way? ‘you’, I agree with much of what you say in the other post, especially about Pronger hurting his teams when it really matters (alla Derian Hatcher), but seeing as you didn’t even watch games one or two of the series your response to my question is irrelevant. If it was an obstruction penalty during the regular season it should be so now. I won’t watch the Stanley Cup with a 7th seed vs. an 8th seed or some b.s. like that — only to have neither make the playoffs the next year (similar to whats happened the past few years). Clearly those aren’t the 2 best teams in the NHL. The rules changed to help prevent this. The Red Wings are proving DESPITE the officiating that they are one of the best teams in the NHL, but they shouldn’t have to overcome these obstacles on a regular basis since rules are in place to prevent it. (I know Anaheim is a two seed so they are a special case.)

Today may very well be my last time posting or askign a question in the hockey section. I have some changes coming up in my life and the out of category questions are becoming a killer annoyance. I am finishing my last semester of college and then going to work full time. I may be able to pop my head in for a short amount of time in the coming months or I might be able to make regular contributions, but chances are I will be MIA for quite sometime. 6) If your favorite team moved to Kansas City or Las Vegas, would you still be a fan?

7) Who is going to score the first goal of the season for your team? The last?
How many games will it take for Martin Brodeur to break the all time wins record (needs 14 wins to break)? All time shutout record (needs 8 to break)?

9) If you had to change the color of the lines on the ice (red line blue line) what would you change them too?

10) Tough Devils question…..who forechecked the Philadelphia player that then coughed up the puck into his own open net (delayed penalty) to give Martin Brodeur his second career goal?

11) Another tough Devils question…who misfired the puck to the point that then went down and scored on the empty net (delayed penalty) which lead to Ottawa’s goaltender recording a goal against the Devils. I forget which goaltender it was….

BONUS: If Mats Sundin retires, will it be the end of him or will he pull a Brett Favre and try and come back? Will we ever hear the end to this annoying as h*ll saga?

BONUS #2: If you were Mats Sundin the identical sitaution, what would you choose to do, honestly? I would think I would choose Vancouver….$20 Million!
